The T55 Java is more tightly wrapped sound wise with a lot of focus. Big excellent for a wide variety of playing situations, however I prefer (and am looking for) and great STM with a lot of 'zing' to the sound. I play a YTS-23 (and a 10M) and have both the T6 and T55 and prefer the T6 just slightly more.

Sax players will notice that they have to listen to the monitor mix at a slightly higher level than rhythm players. The reason is simple. When you play the horn it resonates in your head, therefore you'll have to turn up a bit to hear the mix above the natural resonation. The one I have right now says "Accent" on the bell. I have been told that it is Model 170. The horn is fairly new, when I got it, one person had tried it out for a few months.

The rails might be just slightly thicker on the S+, but I didn't notice any change in the feel of the piece. The only big difference I can see between the S and S+ is the chamber. As far as sound, the S+ definitely has more body in the tone to my ears, mainly in the upper range and altissimo. Play-ability felt just as good as my 6S.
